Exceptionally accomplished VLSI physical design engineers are
sought to join a New York–based interdisciplinary research group that is
developing special-purpose supercomputers designed in part to fundamentally
transform the process of drug discovery. Our project aims to combine an innovative,
massively parallel architecture with algorithmic advances in computational
biochemistry.
Successful candidates will have proven expertise in the
design and analysis of high-performance clock and power delivery networks,
custom circuit design and layout, full-chip floorplanning and integration,
hierarchical design methodologies, and definition and validation of timing
closure and other sign-off criteria.
Experience with semiconductor technologies beyond the 32/28nm node is
desirable.
Our small team of talented hardware engineers will be
working on large (~400 mm^2), high-performance designs (>1GHz clock rate,
> 1Tbps I/O bandwidth) in cutting-edge (20nm or later) process
technologies. Members of our team are
expected to plan, analyze, and execute on multiple aspects of the
implementation process.
Excellent
communication and quantitative analysis skills are required. We reward our exceptionally qualified
employees with above-market compensation.
